This Privacy Policy explains how Artha Intelligence Private Limited ("Artha", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Artha website and application (the "Service") — an AI-native stock research and portfolio-intelligence platform for Indian markets.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and profile photo, provided when you sign in with Google or email via Firebase Authentication.
• Broker connection data — when you connect a broker (Zerodha/Kite or Upstox), we receive and securely store access tokens and read your holdings, positions, and portfolio in order to provide analysis. We never place trades without your explicit, per-action confirmation.
• Your content — watchlists, screens, investment theses, and alert rules you create.
• Usage & device data — log data, device and browser information, IP address, and how you interact with the Service.
• Cookies & local storage — used for authentication/session management (Firebase) and to remember preferences such as theme.

2. How we use information

• To operate and provide the Service, including generating AI equity notes, screens, and alerts;
• To personalise your experience and the analysis we surface;
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug;
• To communicate with you about the Service;
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. AI processing

To generate analysis, relevant inputs (such as public filings and the context of your holdings) may be processed by AI models, including third-party model providers acting as our processors. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not permit such providers to use your personal data to train their models other than as needed to provide the Service.

4. How we share information

We share information only with service providers acting on our behalf, and at your direction:

• Google Firebase / Google Cloud — authentication, hosting, and infrastructure;
• Zerodha (Kite) / Upstox — broker APIs you choose to connect;
• AI model providers — to generate analysis;
• Analytics and operational tooling.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect rights and safety.

5. Data retention

We retain your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service or comply with legal obligations. Broker access tokens are retained until you disconnect the broker or your session expires. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights & choices

You may access, correct, or delete your information, withdraw consent, and disconnect any linked broker at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

8. Data location

Your information is processed and stored on Google Cloud infrastructure, which may include data centres in and outside India consistent with applicable law.

9. Children

The Service is intended for users 18 years or older and is not directed to children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
